Didn't PVS use it as well? I must admit my provisioning knowledge is well rusty these days though
b
yes it does
r
m
like said before its also used for PVS. Minor hint: Be aware that Citrix changed the "ArdenceData" stanza to "CitrixData" in Personality.ini lately... If you are not using BIS-F and relying on that stanza to detected if you are in Standard or Private mode you are screwed #beentheredonethat

We're on 1912 LTSR, and it still says
ArdenceData
, but that is really interesting. I've always just looked for
_diskmode
and I'm assuming that has not changed,
m
Yep. "_diskmode" havent changed...
r
I never actually looked myself. I need to look and see on my side too. I assume it's in the PVS target correct?
b
Correct.. the
personality.ini
file started with PVS, and when Citrix created MCS, they adopted the file. ( Jarian & I used to work with one of the original Ardence engineers back in the day).

Just tried a new Win 10 build with VDA v2303 and it looks like Citrix have changed 'personality.ini' to 'MCSPersonality.ini' (in MCS environments) - playing havoc with BIS-F now not being able to detect diskmode correctly 😢

I wonder if that will apply to PVS also
t
Not sure - unfortunately I've not got a PVS environment to test in at the moment.
