Never experienced this, excuse me for throwing out the obvious. Can you delete that key in the golden image and see if it will get recreated once the machines are spun up?

I'm not familiar with this admin console or how it works. I do have a similar issue that we worked around with Dell Redcloak. I set the service to manual. Then I have a statup PS script that goes out to look for a key for that machine name on a network share. If it exists it copies the key in place and hen starts the service. If there is no key, it starts the service and then copies the key to that network share so that next time it'll have the same GUID. Obviously we deleted the key from the master image before we started creating target machines. 🙂

Bart7788 you put me on the right track. It turns out that if you delete that key then Windows is triggered to recreated it when certain operations are performed. So a GPO based startup script or a new BIS-F personalisation script to overwrite the value with a known value from a file based on the Computername looks like it will work. Lab test doesn't seem to show anything breaking when the key is recreated.
