ie4uinit bypass should help :)
d
That's already set 🙂 Oh, and btw. It's Server 2019
j
Do you get the same behaviour if you turn UPM off?
s
d
@James Rankin ye, no difference
@Selimir i'll have a look
s
i clean out this key on every logon
j
There was a hotfix that addressed that I believe
d
and this happens for new profiles aswell 😞
s
yes it is the second link, but you need the key to enable this hotfix
hmm then these fixes wont help, maybe start procmon and check the output if there is something helpful
d
@Selimir that might be the go-to. I've just removed the values, stated in your first article, and rdp'ed to the vda - no change 😞 procmon it is.

Had a corrupt ImmersiveControlPanel on WS2016 once. the following commands fixed it: 1. DISM /online/cleanup-image/RestoreHealth 2. sfc /scannow seems like a random answer, but was the solution 🤣

@Balint Oberrauch pretty random 🙂 it's a MDT created image, from the other day. Can't say it isn't going to solve it, but I highly doubt it 😄
s
@Balint Oberrauch "Have you run sfc /scannow?" The MS forum equivalent of "have you tried turning it off and on again?"
This is a KB I wrote for myself on everywhere I have found registry bloat causing issues like high CPU usage & black screen on logon.

@Scott Knights as I said, seems like random answer 🤣 actually it made a difference in that specific case
