I updated to the latest VDA 2303 and no change. Still not optimized. I’ll try to install an older version of Teams next.
Backed off to 1.5.00.33362 and still not optimized. What am I missing?
Maybe I’ll roll back the VDA instead of forward.
Rolling back to VDA 2212 worked. Not sure what was up with those several newer VDAs and this feature. 🤔
This is totally random. I had to roll back to 1.5.0.xxxx because it worked after rolling back and now it doesn’t work again. I’m at a loss - it works once in a while but not most other times.

@Mike Meyer we had a user with this type of problem. I cleared out his Teams files in his appdata/local/microsoft/teams (i think thats the path but look for any teams and just nuke it). I also reinstalled the workspace app to be safe and then he was fine

Thanks Danny, Out of curiosity were you using the Machine Wide version? I’ve got the latest Workspace on my endpoint, it was recently updated, but I will try reinstalling that as well if needed.
The main issue is I’m not seeing the Hdx procsses running on my endpoint. I see Websockets running on the VDA, and various other items on the VDA seem OK (registry keys etc.) but the local hdx…..exe process that is supposed to run is not appearing.

yea we use the machine-wide version. I use neverred to keep it up to date. So it was strange to see one user only with that issue.

Turns out it’s working for everyone but me. I went to reinstall my Workspace app and it was very prolematic and cranky about it. Had to run at it 3 times with the Cleanup Utility, then upgraded it and thought “aha! that’ll do it”. Nope. So I cleared that appdata path. The problem still persists. There isn’t any issues with this and ARM processors is there? I’m using an M1 MacBook Pro with a Win11 Parallels VM. It is a pure mystery still at this point. I see no service of HdxRtcEngine.exe spawning on my endpoint. Werid.

did you clear the app data on your profile on the VDA as well? On endpoint id manually verify that once unistalled with cleanup utility the appdata folders are gone entirely, if not delete them manually.
