Ok so probably not the point of this channel, but in Google Workspace, using Chrome, when I go to `<chrome://apps>` I see _some_ apps, but not all. e.g. I see Mail, Drive, Chat… I like the apps there because I can make shortcuts that open in their own window and I can properly cmd+tab through them. So now I want to do that with apps/sites that don’t show up on that list, like Meet and Calendar, but I can’t figure out how to do it. I googled around a bit and asked some LLMs, and I found a few “turn any website into an app” type things which don’t seem to work. So, anyone know if this is possible / how / have recommendations? Thanks y’all!!

In Google Admin console go to Chrome Browser > Apps and Extensions > Users and Browsers click the (+) in the bottom right and select  Add by URL. Paste in the URL  then select Open as a progressive web app (PWA) only

Then it will appear on your `<chrome://apps>`

You can restrict it to a group if you want.  Not sure if that works if you aren't a google workspace customer.

Has there been much news on IWA (Isolated Web Apps) for ChromeOS? I see there is a new option to deploy them in the Google Admin Console. It looks like they will support extra APIs like Smart card support.
