How is everyone's piloting of Edge (Chromium) going? We've been a steadfast IE shop for years. Now that we're testing Edge, I've found that a lot of our internal sites are just crap and not meant for newer browsers. I'm using IE mode, but it's hit and miss for me if I'm opening a site that is configured for IE mode. It looks like there's an upcoming feature to delay opening a site prior to loading the Enterprise Mode list (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-policies#delaynavigationsforinitialsitelistdownload). Anyway, the thing I can't deal with is references to file:// links. I tried a work-around to open this with IE Mode, but I cannot get it to work. I'm interested in any recent blogs that would be helpful.

Hey EUC colleagues, I am back to testing NVv4 AMD GPU images in azure. MS fixed the issue with graphics drivers, but there is still a problem with that image and MCS. Whenever the VDI is booted up, the user logon takes forever. The user gets black screen, then ctr-alt-del prompt which can be bypassed without password (I am guessing this is due to logon delay), and then few minutes later can log in. When I checked the logs, one thing that stands out is a very long time to process Software Protection Policies - almost 3 minutes. For comparison, exact same MCS image running on another Azure instance (F4s) SPP takes a minute and there are no logon delays. This is not a user logon issue per say, since if the machine is pre-booted user can logon without issues. Something is happening on boot where the Citrix services are running and allowing logon but machine is not fully there. Has anyone seen this? Is there a way to wait for the boot process to complete prior to allowing logins?

using HDX RTOP 2.9.1 and/or 2.4.1 connector (LTSR) someone already noticed following issues (Windows2016 multi user): 1. the "mute" button does not seem to react instantly (delay of more then30 second), all other apps in the sesssion work without issue 2. HDX connector randomly disconnects and reconnects during a call 3. chat sometimes not reacting (compare it to typical ICA latency when you type, although here all other apps work like a charm) Connecting client Windows using 2.9.1 HDX RTME

Hi guys, does anyone has ever faced the following behavior on PVS? Boot targets device, VDA are up und running and registered on 1912LTSR Farm. After some min. (roughly 8 min) VDA turning down in PVS until you just click on vCenter Target device console, windows window appear and Target device turing up again on PVS. Streamed OS is 2016 and never saw this bevor.

Hey quick question has anyone delivered Oracle Smartview in excel on a Xendesktop running W10 with any version of Office? The add-in works but it's simply very slow when refreshing in smartview or essbase and performing other actions ( excel stops resondong for no apparent reason), seems to be slow inside and outside the App-V bubble, on superspec vdi's 4vcpu 16gig ram and lower specs, the performance is fine on legacy xenapp 6.5, we're talking about 3 to 5 minutes of non responsive behaviour, I've checked and tried different versions of Excel 2010/2013 as well as 365 which is in the build, confirmed the load balanced server for Hyperion operational and accessible when users connect on W10 xendesktop, low latency, low iops/cpu/ram on the end users machines. I've run procmon/fiddler traces, just running out of ideas, ticket logged with Oracle they can assist with virtualized environments but there isn't much on their forums regarding the smartview add-in for excel.

Hey, KB4561608 breaks local printer redirections in CVAD, you are getting this: https://jsconsulting.services/2011/01/14/printer-auto-creation-failure-reason-addprinter-failed-with-status-0x704/ Anyone noticed that, too?

Hi folks, Question around MCS storage utilisation with NFS on XenServer 7.1. I thin provision dedicated w10 1809, and space usage on NFS explodes compared to Win7 with PvD. 1 VM without a user has a diff .vhd of 20GB! That's not what I was expecting from .diff disks! Do you see the same? Thanks in advance.
