Anyone enjoying Appventix here? We are very happy with appventix... But the late function to get apps directly from Microsoft store doesn't work for us. The Teams download works fine though. I suspect this has something to do with smartscreen or similar, since we need to confirm manual download from the same sources..

Hey @Tommy Tee. The Teams button doesn't actually download from Microsoft Store, it's the offline installer (always the latest version). What doens't work for you with the Store apps? The download part or the installation?

If it's the latter, check the following gpo's / regkeys: • AllowAllTrustedApps (Enabled) • AllowDevelopmentWithoutDevLicense (Enabled) • BlockNonAdminUserInstall (Disabled)

Anyone know's how appventix handles custom shortcuts in app-v packages? This app-v package when i check on the App-v management server has a cutom shortcut but when deleivered via appventix the shortcut isnt created

Have anybody managed Teams through Appventix? We are trying to manage teams with different versions. I suspect Teams autoupdates itself, event though we have set it not to. And Appventix unpublishes the application sometimes because of version mismatch. We are using Citrix, and non-persistent VDI's.

Last time I heard something like that happening was due to the pre-cache, are you using that?

Am I missing something or does AppVentix v4 not have the agent install in there? I can't get the agent to work on Windows 11 so went for the latest download, but all it contains is the Central View installer...

Actually I guess I need to do it in the console now, just RTFM 🙂

Sorry missed your message @James Rankin. Agent has always been bundled with Central View, it stores the latest version in the config\agent folder 👍 You can still choose to deploy manually, unattended (the parameters are provided for your convenience) or via the console

Hi would the AWS solution for bringing App-V packages to Appstream 2.0 be able to be modified to make it work with AppVentix deployment of App-V packages? @Peter Lewis so yeah I think you should be able to replicate this with AppVentiX, though I'm not sure if the same logic should be used. We provide a wrapper to easily launch apps we deliver, these are also used when we published a RemoteApp (AVD/Citrix/Omnissa). But I wonder if the "dynamic apps" are needed, instead of just creating AppStream applications. But I must admit I'm not too familiar with AW AppStream. We can setup a call to see what you need and take it from there?

Hi Guys i see there is a new version of Appventix (Version 4 i am currently on 3.7.3.1) which now allows you to edit shortcuts,files,scripts which is awesome as when i migrated from App-V to Appventix shortcuts that i had added into the App-v packages (after sequencing) on the AppV management server wasnt created (default shortcuts during sequencing were). To upgrade to version 4 i presume its just upgrading Appventix Central View console and update the Appventix agent on master images ?
