Can anyone get https://status.cogentco.com to load? I can't get it from my Office, home or LTE... but downforeveryoneorjustme.com shows it's still up?

Time for a rant ----- is it just me or does anyone else lose their f*cking loaf when they see support DELETING ENTIRE USER PROFILES for the flimsiest of goddamn reasons? "User can't open Outlook" --> DELETES ENTIRE PROFILE (when they could just use a bit of nous and maybe JUST DELETE THE OUTLOOK-RELATED STUFF). "User's microphone isn't working" --> DELETES ENTIRE PROFILE (when the damn thing was probably faulty) Or even, hey, just rename the profile, see if that fixes the issue, then escalate it to someone with a bit more technical knowhow, if you're not sure how to remove the pertinent filesystem and Registry values for a particular app or feature. Hey, ask me nicely, I'll write some scripts that users can run that "reset Teams", "reset Outlook", "reset Office", etc. BUT JUST STOP DELETING USER'S PROFILES FOR NO REASON! Just had one come in, user had a session that disconnected a few times. So they deleted the profile. Amazingly, the problem hasn't gone away, so now the user is still getting disconnects but now has no f*cking profile either. End of rant. Sorry.

We are planning to deploy Google meet in vdis (Citrix\W365). Any idea if it can support any advanced redirection like Teams? I noticed https://workspaceupdates.googleblog.com/2022/11/improved-meeting-quality-for-virtual-machines.html?m=1 but it talks more of a vdi resource level optimisation instead of any media offload capabilities?

Just a heads up to folks. Noticing some issues with blank screen, or "The system detected an overrun of stack-based buffer" when logging on to non-persistent VMs after the latest September 2026 Windows Updates. Manually starting explorer.exe allows desktop to proceed. Subsequent logins work fine after doing that (in my lab). In my lab it's only occuring on FSLogix based non-persistent VDI, and not when using DEM.

Seems like the latest version of Adobe Reader x86 no longer installs on ARM processors on Windows 11. Anyone see the same issue? 26.002.21901 fails to install saying it's not supported on that processor, but earlier versions work.

I've got av bit of a conundrum.... just started working with a new customer. I just got sent a case that Office 365 apps wouldn't start for 2 out of a few hundred concurrent users. After some investigation I find that shared computer activation is not configured on the servers. Even if I am still not sure that is the root cause in this specific, how has this not caused some major issues over the last 6 - 7 months since the site was put in to production? I will fix the shared activation configuration of course, but I can't understand why this has not been a major issue for a while for more users.

They just got lucky, I guess....

Hi everyone, I want to check is anyone faces this issue. Again it happened after patching. We are running Omnissa Horizon 2603+DEM+Appvolume+FSLogix (version 2.9 profile+ODFC) on Windows 11 23H2 (we are in a process of testing to upgrade to 25H2) instant clones. We do see now in Teams the following message after September patching. We tried to delete the Teams Cache and all configs no luck. Also if we delete the ODFC container the banner is gone, but it come back on the next login. Same with brand new profile. We also tested on the 25H2 (with FSLogix 26.01 CU1 and 26.08 thinking about outdated 2.9 version) and is happening the same. It seems that Teams is working, but for some reason is not recognizing the Windows edition properly. After checking in the vdi_debud.txt Teams logs it is show up the correct detection of the OS as Windows 11 enterprise. Really not sure why is prompting for server 2025 on Windows 11. I'm using using the script v2 from Koetzing to deploy Teams thru MDT Automated method. Thanks

Dumb question, but where does everyone get latest EUC related updates? Anything similar to the newsletter Carl Stalhood used to curate?

So, I quit my EUC job 3 weeks in, due to mental health. 9hrs a day in the office (no wfh) and a build room that's a closet. With managers questioning everything and allowing no flexibility or innovation. Got Autopilot V2 with device association working though. Except, after I left, they don't know how to get it working. Lucky escape maybe. So it's back to the drawing board for me!
