So with Carl Stalhood's approval I have been working to mix his documenation with my documentation into a new site that will be managed and maintained by multiple engineers for updates. We have moved from Wordpress to Azure Static Pages on Github for easier documentation with markup documents. We removed some of the older documentation that is out of support, and will be working to add more information with upcoming releases. Go ahead and take a look, see what you think, and let me know what you think we should focus on first. https://docs.jeffriechers.com

Anyone ever seen an issue like this? I've got some Windows 11 MCS-provisioned machines that when booted up, Group Policies appear to be applied (in that gpresult shows them as applied, and the correct Registry values exist). However, in the user's session, they don't apply (background is incorrect, logon screen is incorrect, App-V not working, etc.). What is weird is if you reboot the worker in vCenter (not Studio), the policies all appear correctly in the session at next logon. I've been trying to work this one out in my head and can't fathom it out. If I apply one of the settings (e.g. the logon screen) to the master image directly (as in, bake in the settings), then it works OK at first logon. But it's not really feasible for us to start baking the entire set of GPOs into the master image, that's going to kind of defeat the object of having policies. Anyone seen an issue like this before?

Sorry to ask this question but on our Win11 23H2 Build, Appx packages for Notepad and Calc are blocked by System administrator, I've looked in Applocker in event viewer and can't see anything related to Notepad and Calc being blocked. We have windows Store Disabled. Any idea where to look?

Posting this here for greater visibility: Anyone have a good PS script or module to pull GPO settings into a CSV/Excel document? I have been using SDM's module, but it's not great for registry preferences, as it puts every single part of one preference onto a new line, so comparing hundreds of preferences becomes a chore.

If you're an #Evergreen user, I'm getting close to releasing a version that splits the module from the application functions. The module repository has been moved here: https://github.com/EUCPilots where you can also find a repository with a copy of the application functions. New Evergreen documentation site here: https://eucpilots.com/evergreen-docs/ Here's my previous article on the upcoming changes to Evergreen: https://stealthpuppy.com/evergreen-change-2025/

Has anyone done a good comparison between Parallels and Citrix? We're not moving from Citrix, but the distributor who we go through for licensing has told senior management they can save $$$'s if we move, which has some senior management people excited. I would like to extinguish this conversation so it doesn't waste too much time and take our focus off our current tasks.

We have inherited a client running Ericom Connect. They have multiple Server 2022 RD Session hosts which are in a bit of a mess. All different with no optimisations. I am not familiar with Ericom. Citrix background and use MCS for image management. I have seen references that Ericom apparently has image management built in, but can't find anything in the admin guide about this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

AWS Connect and static Citrix VDIs: Has anyone worked on this type of solution? We're using a Custom CCP, but even when we use AWS' default CCP, we're having issues: Missed Calls, One-way Audio, poor Call Quality. We've verified that HDX is redirecting Audio back to the end-point and that Call Traffic flows directly from the end-point to AWS on UDP 3478, but these issues persist. Is there anything on the Citrix side we might be missing? What about the end-points themselves?

Reposting here as the question came up in another channel. Re new Citrix CCA and CCP level exams now available, I have been told by Citrix you need to take the CCA and CCP, if you were previously certified as CCP you can't just take the CCP level one. Same applies for CCE when they are released.
