Finally! I am ungated in Grocery & Gourmet Foods! Thank you to
Doug Hampshire for this post (
https://bit.ly/2tqPmez) describing how he got ungated--Doug inspired me to follow a similar process.
1. Last week Wednesday I joined
Frontier Co-op Wholesale store as a non-member.
2. I downloaded their pricelist spreadsheet and sorted by ascending item price. I found two different seasoning packets that cost about $1 each and ordered 12 of each. I also selected two different bars of soap in the Topicals category that cost about $1 and added 10-12 of each to my order.
3. I placed the order on Thursday, the total cost plus shipping was about $60.
4. I received the order on Saturday.
5. On Sunday evening I logged in to sellercentral to add the items I had ordered to my inventory. I applied to both the Topicals subcategory and the Grocery & Gourmet Foods category using the same invoice. I photographed the paper invoice that was included in the shipment. I did not add any comments or mark it in any way. In the online application form I did add the comment “Note item number xxxx on the attached invoice” to help them connect the item listed on the invoice to the corresponding asin. I also submitted the required product photographs, which I had taken with my iphone.
6. On Monday morning I received notification that I’d been approved in Grocery & Gourmet Category. Yay! My application for Topicals is still under review.
7. Let me know if I can help any of you who want to get ungated. I’ll be happy to share any information with you.
