@Tim Title: “Rare Vintage Toy Canisters & American Bricks by Halsam/ Elgo Surprise Lot”
@Tim Ebay description: “Own a rare piece of American history when American Bricks produced an educational and building toy similar in features and a rival to Denmark’s Lego plastic toys also known as bricks. Elgo or American Bricks created unique pieces and sometimes pastel colors in their sets. This “surprise lot” comes with a mixture of decent and damaged pieces. We’re not sure about their “playability” due to the age of the plastic, but some of the pieces are still holding on to their joined counterparts well from the last time the original owners connected or “played” with the toy bricks. A door unique to American Bricks is included in the photos. The two baby blue toy canisters that came with these plastic bricks when we purchased them from what seemed like the original owner show to be of the same historical timeframe and are labeled “Constructioneer” and “Store Container” throughout the outside of the toy tin. We haven’t been able to locate any Constructioneer or similar storage containers of its kind, and they appear to be an extremely unique and rare find! Grab a piece of history today or help a family member or friend relive their past when they used to build with a set of American Bricks — a toy made here in the U.S.A.!”
