Though it's a site for "professionals" in the business world, I put my job title as "Homemaker and Managing Member of Family Company"

I also have my testimony on it instead of a job summary (creative use of the site).

We are connected to Josh Duggar there as well as the writer Alicia Dennis of People Mag. We met Alicia in God's timing when we stayed at the same place in Arkansas for Jill & Derick's wedding. I didn't know who she was or that she was going to the same volunteer/media meeting later that day. She just looked like she needed computer help and I offered Tim's free help to get her electronics connected. She seemed a little frantic and was not able to get the WiFi to work etc.

For the most part, people on LinkedIn only really connect with people they know or have met (unless came highly recommended by a trusted friend or pastor). Pastor Jeff is on there too as well as Scott Brown and Congressman David Simpson. Congressman Simpson came to speak at our church one Wednesday night and is a good friend of Pastor Jeff. One lady Theresa Bowen (who I met through the Food and Family Conference and runs a hospitality website with her husband) puts "homeschool" as her job. :-)

What's also great about LinkedIn is that after you publish your ebook or books or both, you can add that to your Publications tab and your whole business feed will see it.

Guinn and Michael, you may be able to block comments and people from your Instagram page if you'd like. I tried to flag bad ones from one negative account but they came back up. Or you could just ignore it. :-) We continue to pray that the Lord use you and keep you both strong. Most of those commenters also mostly remain anonymous.

How do you block someone? That would be nice!

To block someone's comment, click on your Comment box (as if you were going to write one) for your Instagram account. Then swipe the offensive comment to the Left. A red flag will appear for you to report it as abusive, etc. (Here are screenshots of the process to help make it faster. In taking these screenshots I flagged someone but their comment may come back because it is not our IG account.)

To block someone completely from your IG account, go to their profile and click on the arrow on the upper right-hand side and choose Block User. If it ever gets exhausting you can just ignore them but blocking people may encourage some to be more civil about their disagreements.

Tim, I saw two of your comments in the spam folder and I didn't know how they got there. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't automatically taking it to spam.

I'm not sure why they would've gone to spam. Were they my replies to you last night? I think I somehow replied to your comments with our "Tim and Franicia" account instead of my "Tim White" account. That may have caused it to go to spam. Wordpress does have an automatic spam filtering feature through the Akismet plugin.

Thank you, Michael, for moving the comments out of spam. We've been quite impressed at how well you've been administering the comments, blog posts, etc very well! Do I owe you anything (anything that I told you that I'd do that I haven't?)

No, I don't think so. One thing I noticed the other day is that my personal email is shown when I make a comment. Is that hard to change to the website email? Also, Guinn was thinking about doing a cookbook with my sister for new wives and selling it on the website. What are your thoughts on this?

I'll have Tim respond to the email question. He is the tech guy! As for the cookbook, that is a wonderful idea! Selling it on the website would be great too since you will be able to get all those people's email addresses (even if they didn't sign up for your mailing list) and you'll have more people to easily reach for other cookbooks, other books, videos, and additions --- so exciting!

Also, if you ever get an offer to publish any of your books and are offered a book advance (like $5000-25,000), ask them if you have to pay back the advance if they weren't able to profit to completely fulfill it. I have been wanting to mention this for some time. It is something you can look into online if someone ever asks the question.

Changing your email on your comments shouldn't be a problem. I'll look into that this morning.

Great job using at least one photo for each blog post! For a cleaner look for the latest one, "Why...Gospel," you can put the image credit as a caption. You can click on the pencil icon over the photo to do that.

Tim is on live chat now to see what needs to be done. When I checked on the stats a short while ago traffic was coming from articles in addition to people searching because Jessa mentioned it.

@michael @Tim Michael, I saw a reader had problems with the light gray font of the blog posts. It can easily be fixed. Would you like to fix it or would you like us to do that? I am looking at the font colors now. I am about to send you a screenshot via Slack and possibly by group text too.

@michael @Tim Michael, I am able to access the site through Tim’s account. Go to Design > Style Editor and scroll down to see font colors. You will see Text Color as being gray. If you’re at work I can change that right now.

Yay! The text color has been changed to one of the darkest choices. It can still be made darker or slightly lighter. It is currently at: hsla(0, 95%, 1%, 0.98) 🙂
