If you know anyone who has a 1 bedroom apartment for rent in Garapan, a lady needs it by this weekend. We can give you her contact information.

I made this public if you know someone you’d like to share it with. We tried to partner with agents in Saipan, but they’re not writing back. No problem. We should start charging or something for this real estate service. :joy:”

Saipan and Tinian,
We cry and ache for you all Dad, family, friends, and people who call the CNMI home. :disappointed_relieved:
Super Typhoon Yutu, according to a Huffpost article, was “one of the strongest recorded tropical cyclones to make landfall anywhere on the planet.” These are U.S. territories and yet there is not much major media coverage. 

Saipan was my home from birth until I left for NAPS and the Naval Academy in Annapolis. I laughed and was gracious when naval officers and civilian staff thought I was a foreigner. It’s still okay for me that many people don’t realize how crucial our island chain is now and was during WW2.

You know I’m not one who is quick to get fired up about something, am usually a person of gratitude, but it saddens me to see the lack of interest in Americans and others who are hurting and needing basic things like drinking water, water for washing hands, shelter, and more.

Major news outlets are still covering Kavanaugh and how many different stories do we need to hear about the latest bomb threats? The news about the painful devastation and suffering in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (especially Saipan and Tinian) may not bring a lot of money to news outlets, but we ask for empathy for fellow humans and any type of coverage.

Tim and I are working on bringing any major news media coverage we can work up and encouraging the donation of funds.

We’ve had church friends out of their own hearts wanting to and ready to donate funds and wanting to help people we know directly instead of donating to certain organizations. We don’t want to turn away help and also want to do more than that and help not only Americans during this crisis: we want to help everyone we can there.

We’re doing research on tax issues and more and getting one of our websites that we’ve been running called “Beautiful Saipan” as a channel for this.

I share this now to bring hope. Also, if any of you have media contacts, donors interested, special connections with large and small companies willing to match donations, please send them our way. We’re happy for donations to be given to American Red Cross and various organizations too who are active in helping on Guam right now gathering supplies.

We may not have a big platform, but with the grace of God, we’ll do what we can to help bring any assistance or awareness in order to get more help.
