If you've taken

from 2G to 24G, then there's something very wrong with memory usage. Wrong enough that throwing more resources or servers into the mix isn't going to help. Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas off the top of my head as to what could cause that. I've actually never heard of a Puppet 7 -> Puppet 8 upgrade hitting something similar.
