It probably doesn't, I don't think they made Fiber changes

Oh dang, sorry about that. It was on my radar before I went on a sabbatical 🙃 I'll look into that

So we could just bump those env vars in the launcher wrapper, but it doesn’t fix the underlying pathological problem where calling run_plan within run_plan within run_plan adds a bunch of things to the stack which isn’t really appropriate for fibers. So I’m looking at spawning each new run_plan in a new fiber so each plan gets its own fiber stack.

I have not tested it yet, but github.com/OpenVoxProject/openbolt/pull/372 is the fix and github.com/OpenVoxProject/openbolt/…/42173740500 is a test build, which should show where it is in artifacts.voxpupuli.org (after the mirror syncs, or artifacts.overlookinfratech.com immediately) once it finishes the Upload to S3 step, if you’d like to try it out.

Ideally, most of hints.rb should be integrated into the main code, but we can do this around openbolt 10 🙂

or we can move to any other CLI library, that provides shell completion support out-of-the-box

I used openbolt-5.6.0.220.ga7e40121a-1.macos.all.arm64.dmg and it fixed my issues @Nick Burgan 🎉

Does anyone have Windows nodes they can test powershell-based tasks against?

in fact, I think it would be useful to have pcp transport support, would help with migrations

Yeah, we had ripped most of it out, but we could put it back. Doesn’t really hurt anything to have it in there, there’s no compiled code or anything.

I ask because I think my current Choria powershell code is broken and I have some fixes. I guess I need to spin up a Windows test bed.

My testing yesterday had some Windows nodes; that version is my current “production” OpenBolt, so it’s gotten more exercise since.

Okay, cool. I’m making some changes to the core powershell code that applies to any transport, so I might have a test build here in a bit to make sure I don’t break anything. We have tests, but they’re…okay 🙂
