Thanks very much for sharing this Paul This was quite fascinating and I have to say I agree with Callum on the consistency of naming.

Glad you like it Dean. The conversations have been so interesting and I really thought they were worth sharing, outside of the skill they will produce. I can't wait to get back on a call and discuss the next bit, or try out the skill it produces.

mentioning naming... DocumentType vs ContentType, is there a difference or can umbraco not decide on which one 🤔 to avoid confusion.. we go with StandardPage over ContentPage...
c
@Mike Chambers which should it be?
m
I don't know.. either works.. but we have ContentTypes and a content service.. but umb:document and the lit repos are document repo... and ContentTypes in the back office are DocumentTypes.. I guess it's maybe to have elementType vs DocumentType.. are both ContentTypes? 😉
I've also seen ContentTypes prefixed d and e, to distinguish if it's an element vs document. (with that carried through to t for template, _t if it's a wrapper/build template, and p for partial.... )

Oh my word, all very confusing. I am happy to be consistent in the article if that is what triggered this. But I would need to know which way to go with it. And from what you put it's still not clear 😀

Higher than my pay grade... 🙂
