Big fan of JSON Schema and good to see its use here to solve this problem & others by having runtime JSON Schema. Kudos !!

This is great on many more levels. Not just AI. The fact that you can actually get a schema for any data is great!
@Matt Brailsford I can imagine that working on this stuff is really cool and satisfying 😄
m
Absolutely! It's a crazy pace, but tons of fun
l
Yeah it changes SO fast. I feel like I don't have the time to properly catch up, but it helps if it's actually your job to look into it 😉 Although I get the pressure for getting deliverables out the door hehe
m
Yea, I'm very fortunate for sure. I honestly don't think I could go back to regular work now though 😂
d
As @Warren Buckley says +1 for JSON schemas. This is what I'm using for UpDoc to make it accessible to agents. Also what is "regular work" now anyway? 🤣
l
Whats UpDoc? (Yes, pun intended) 😄
a
Dont you have concentration issues when constantly waiting for AI to do something ?
l
I just do multiple things at the same time, creating new plans when its executing another plan.
And multiple projects at the same time 😆
m
Yup, same. Plan > let AI run > Go plan another feature > let than run > review the first feature. It is a lot of context switching, but working on smaller teams I'm used to this. But I think this is going to be the new norm.
l
I'm not yet sure if I'm going to be glad or sad about that...or both. I can do much more in a shorter time. And I'm doing things that I wouldn't normally take the time for. It's not that I really like typing code or something, but being in control is something I value. Knowing that what I built is correct and well thought out. With AI I'm losing some control. Yes, it's all about good prompting, but still...
m
I get you. I thought I'd miss the code too but it turns out, I actually just enjoy delivering. Coming up with a feature and implementing it and seeing it come into reality, whether I hand typed it or not. I'd agree about the loosing control though. I can't really do much more than 3 or 4 features on the go at any one time as it becomes hard to manage and switch. I also spend quite a bit of time in review and will often end up vibe coding things into a shape I want them to be. I'm not totally bothered if it's private or internal, but if it's public, it becomes a binding contract so I at least try to ensure these interfaces are well defined and consistant.
