Hi everyone, any inputs on the below concern, please? When we have a 'take-home assignment' as part of the interview process, it becomes really difficult to gauge the authenticity and efforts of the candidate due to AI. Also, regardless of whether it's for Tech or Non-Tech profile most of the time, answers are right out of ChatGPT. Hence, • Any alternative to this? • Any way/s to evaluate and assess it better? If faced similar roadblocks, would love to get some insights to get past them. Thanks :)

Hi @Vidhi Solanki, we have faced this authenticity issue and tried a different approach. Here is the way: we have scheduled a catch up discussion on the take home assignment and asked our tech pannel to tweek the assignment while discussing, this would help the interviewer to understand if there was any authenticity issue and other way is how is the candidate handling the changes, is he/she is agile in bringing up the solutions. This worked out very well and found great hires during this discussion

You can ask them to make presentation PPT slides or video recordings and you can still accept Chatgpt for certain assignment depending the how effectively they have built the solution, 1) could that be built without use of Chatgpt or if built using chatgpt could have been better. 2) Always ask them the assumptions, authenticity reliability in this solution, and how did they come up in finalizing that it is the better solution. 4) what other possibilities it can bring

A great perspective shared. Thanks @Sai Venkata Vinay Chittuluru

@Vidhi Solanki you can also change it to parallel coding challenge rather than take home assignment, we have been following this practice and it has given us great results. You also find candidates taking out time for it. Coderpad is one such platform you can explore for conducting parallel coding challenges. - This is only for Tech challenges though.
