Hi everyone, I recently came across the Elastic Beanstalk Terraform module and noticed the maintainer-needed notice. AWS also recently introduced Elastic Beanstalk Cluster Mode, which uses EKS underneath while Elastic Beanstalk manages the underlying cluster. I’m currently researching Cluster Mode and planning to build a Terraform implementation alongside a technical series I’m writing about it. I was wondering if anyone in the community has started looking at Cluster Mode support for the existing module, or if there are any plans around it. I’d also be interested in contributing if there’s an opportunity to help move the module forward Thanks!

Oh fascinating - didn't know they were dusting off the good 'ol elastic beanstack and adding EKS support

We don't do much with beanstalk anymore, but when it originally came out it was pretty cool 😃

Yeah yh, it was, I guess aws noticed it's no longer fun like before so they had to add some spice with the cluster mode. I believe this feature might even overshadowed eks because you don't even need to manage pods and workloads yourself again
So if the team would love that, I want to provide some support to the Beanstalk. I do not believe the module should go like this.
By the way, how I came to know cloud posse was when I was writing on Terraform code for aws config rules, cloudposse is fully packed

Yes, we’ll review any PRs for beanstalk that you contribute
