❓ Wanted to also confirm, that JIT is still not smart enough overwrite its own
workdir
if the
source.version
has not changed
this is kind of why I ran into the other issue, the only way to force pull over itself with JIT is to do the
atmos terraform source pull --force
command, but that writes to a different directory. Or obviously you blow away the workdir and it has to pull from the remote again
Would it be feasible for us to add an atmos setting or a cli flag or something to force downloading or blowing away the local workdir as part of normal atmos TF operations?
always JIT first, etc
Can put an issue in just curious if working as intended

confirmed working. So ended up adding some metadata? is that only applicable to workdirs?
interesting

General design philosophy: rather than add a ton of one-off feature flags for different functionality, we ask: "is there a setting that we can add that solves two birds with one stone?" In this case, what you're asking for was really the ability to always refresh (e.g. always expired cache). I believe we'd always plan on adding a TTL, because the metadata was there to support it, we just didn't finish implementing it.
