Here’s the link to my tap. <https://github.com/managedkaos/homebrew-tap/tree/main|github.com/managedkaos/homebrew-tap/tree/main>

I want to update the readme as I add more tools so its a bit easier to navigate.

Right now there’s only one in there: <https://github.com/managedkaos/homebrew-tap/blob/main/Formula/recall.rb|github.com/managedkaos/homebrew-tap/blob/…/recall.rb>

Did you ever use DevOps Guru?

<https://docs.aws.amazon.com/devops-guru/latest/userguide/devops-guru-end-of-support.html?utm_content=606078160&utm_medium=social&utm_source=linkedin|https://docs.aws.amazon.com/devops-guru/latest/userguide/devops-guru-end-of-support.html>

Never tried it because the pricing seemed very high for what it was doing

Ok this one is friggin sweet! :sunglasses: Gotta see how it works with FastAPI. But the CLI UX looks amazing.

I wonder how well it will work with NextJS in practice

Also, I wonder if they'll do more to make it closer to GCP cloud run, where it can just run the container

<https://github.com/dmkskd/tf-view-demo/pull/17> <@UB2EH889X> is a prototype, I thought it look cool

and also did you guys discussed this <https://www.codecentric.de/en/knowledge-hub/blog/terraform-is-the-wrong-tool-for-building-internal-developer-platforms> ?

I was very skeptical at reading it but there is some truth to a lot of it

<@UB2EH889X> <@UP90TQCCU> ( since you tried crossplane)

I can't recall, but I know I replied on LinkedIn

I agree, it's also why we support publishing to deployment repos in atmos. E.g. even if you use FluxCD, ArgoCD, Crossplane, you still need a process for that.

I see so many of these things slamming Terraform, but stick everything in Kubernetes; but I don't think it's as simple as that.

yes, and the TLDR of the article point out that TF is really good at landing zone and slow changing infra etc

but not for the fast changing app infra on top of the foundational resources etc

I also think there's another side to this that I remain skeptical about; not that it can't be done, but that with my strongly held beliefs won't be done well. It's one of the things we emphasize in atmos and atmos pro. When your services reach into the hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, understanding what is deployed is impossible

In atmos pro, this is central to the whole product. So you get cross repo visibility in a centralized control plane.

What services are flapping/permadrift? What are are the deprecation warnings? what are the terraform failures? and looking at that across regions?

I'm much more bullish about things like KRO, ACK + ArgoCD/Flux than I am about crossplane

<@UP90TQCCU> <@UJYGVNY00> et al, it would be a great discussion

Cloud Formation users! Atmos now supports CloudFormation natively (without Terraform or AWS CLI).

If you've been using `rain` (archived by AWS) this is a great alternative
