@Rocky does starrocks support iceberg v3? if not is there any plan to support it?
r
Currently, StarRocks does not support Apache Iceberg v3. It officially supports Iceberg v1 and v2 tables (including position and equality deletes). Roadmap for Iceberg v3 Support for the Iceberg v3 specification is a high-priority item on the StarRocks 2026 Roadmap. Key planned features related to v3 include: * Full Spec Compliance: Achieving full compatibility with the Iceberg v3 table format. * Iceberg Variant Type: Support for the new Variant data type introduced in v3. * Advanced Statistics: Leveraging the Puffin file format for enhanced cost-based optimization. * Deletion Vectors: Improved handling of delete operations as defined in the newer specifications. Current Support Status (as of StarRocks v3.x/v4.x) Iceberg Version | Support Status v1 | Fully Supported (Read/Write) v2 | Fully Supported (Read/Write, including Position/Equality Deletes) v3 | In Progress / Roadmap 2026 For the latest updates, you can track the official GitHub issue #60956 or the 2026 Roadmap.
