Firebolt core is open source now, seems a strong competitor to starrocks, especially it seems it is much more light weight. What are the thoughts there ?

I think StarRocks still differentiates more on the breadth and maturity of the platform—real-time CDC/upserts, complex analytics, lakehouse integration, and the flexibility of both shared-nothing and shared-data architectures. So there’s definitely more overlap now, but I’d say they still have somewhat different sweet spots.

Agreed, maturity definitely matters, firebolt only supports one writer at a time as what understood, that's probably a no deal for us. But firebolt architecture does seem much more simplified, and have less moving parts, happy to be corrected if wrong.
