StarRocks is MySQL-protocol compatible, so many MySQL clients and SQL tools can connect to it. But CDC tools are different from normal SQL clients. For production CDC, the sink needs to understand StarRocks’ ingestion model, especially Stream Load, Primary Key table upserts, deletes, and schema evolution. Generic MySQL CDC tools like AWS DMS or PeerDB may be possible to experiment with, but they should not be assumed to work just because StarRocks speaks the MySQL protocol. The safer path is Flink CDC or Debezium/Kafka with a StarRocks-native sink.
