06/30/2026, 1:20 PM4.1.2 git tag cut on 2026-06-17, but there's no GitHub release/notes yet, nothing on the docs site beyond 4.1.1, and no Docker Hub images (starrocks/fe-ubuntu:4.1.2 and cn-ubuntu:4.1.2 both 404; newest published 4.1.x image is still 4.1.1).
We're waiting on 4.1.2 specifically for the segment_metas normalizer (#74107 / #74143) that addresses the publish-merge guard / bundle_file_offsets straddle artifact we hit on 4.1.0 and 4.1.1 rolling upgrades. Any ETA on when the 4.1.2 images will be published?Rocky
06/30/2026, 1:20 PMsegment_metas normalizer and the bundle_file_offsets issue specifically encountered during rolling upgrades from 4.1.0/4.1.1. Their inclusion in the 4.1.2 tag confirms they are part of the next patch.
* Docker Hub 404s: Since the 4.1.x series has faced specific container image stability issues in the past (e.g., the v4.1.0 load order bug), the maintainers may be performing additional health checks on the 4.1.2 images before pushing them to the public registry to prevent further upgrade regressions.
* Latest Available: The most recent published version in the 4.1 branch remains v4.1.1 (May 29, 2026). In the 4.0 branch, v4.0.12 was published as recently as June 25, 2026.
Recommendation
Because the tag has been sitting for nearly two weeks, the release is likely in the final stages of the publishing process. For a definitive ETA or to request a pre-release build of the images, you should:
1. Check the #announcements channel in the StarRocks Community Slack.
2. Inquire in the #questions-and-troubleshooting channel, as maintainers often provide status updates on pending patch releases there.
3. Monitor the GitHub Releases page for the appearance of the "v4.1.2" entry.
