As of
June 10, 2026, there is a clear plan and active progress toward the release of
StarRocks 4.1.1.
While 4.1.0 was released on April 13, 2026, the community has specifically flagged
v4.1.1 as a critical update for the following reasons:
*
Container Image Fix: A known issue exists in the v4.1.0 container image where BE processes may fail to start reliably due to an unstable load order. Official documentation explicitly advises container users to skip v4.1.0 and
wait for v4.1.1, which includes the fix (
#71825).
*
Current Status: GitHub activity (as of June 9, 2026) shows users already discussing specific behavioral changes in
4.1.1, such as the status of query rewrites for certain materialized views (
#74512). This indicates the version is likely in the final stages of release or has just begun rolling out.
*
Release Cadence: According to the StarRocks Version Release Guide, patch versions are typically released every
2–3 weeks. Given that 4.1.0 is nearly two months old, 4.1.1 is expected to be available imminently if not already appearing on the
GitHub Releases page.
Recommendation:
If you are running in a
containerized environment, you should wait for the official 4.1.1 tag. You can monitor the
StarRocks Download page or the GitHub repository for the formal announcement.
