Hi everyone, I'm encountering a build failure while running
./build-thirdparty.sh
for StarRocks on my MacBook. The process stops during the Thrift 0.20.0 compilation with a Makefile error. Environment: • OS: macOS (Apple Silicon) • Compiler: Homebrew clang version 20.1.1 (
/opt/homebrew/opt/llvm/bin/clang++
) • Thrift Version: 0.20.0 The Error:
Copy code
thrift 0.20.0
...
C++ compiler : /opt/homebrew/opt/llvm/bin/clang++ -std=c++11
C++ compiler version : Homebrew clang version 20.1.1
...
Makefile:294: *** missing separator. Stop.
It seems like a syntax issue in the generated Makefile at line 294. Has anyone seen this on newer LLVM versions or ARM-based Macs? Is there a standard document or a recommended set of environment variables (like
MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET
or a specific
make
version) to build this successfully on a MacBook? Thanks in advance for the help!
