Thanks, I definitely remember seeing this (opengameart is a great resource) I think there was some reason it didn't work, probably tilesize

Though I don't think it's bad or unreasonable Aseprite's license, it's just that for a while I had no money to spend on tools for working on stuff, so I've had to go with something I can get for free, and that tends to be what I like to use because it's universally available.

There is this app for Android and iOS called pixel studio which I really like. I like drawing my ugly pixel arts while sitting on my couch with my ipad so it makes it easy. You can use most of the functions in free tier.

It’s part of it, but since it was made in Unity it’s considered a discontinued prototype, since we can’t do the whole thing open source. It’ll be remade in Godot or Bevy eventually.

Hey there! Super excited to have been introduced to your project and to join your community. I came across the kickstarter and was excited to see the goal of Fish Folk to create an open and modular gaming ecosystem that can live forever. For the past two years, I’ve been researching and working on technology to accomplish this same goal, through the removal of trusted, centralized infrastructure typically necessary to enabled multiplayer and shared contexts in games. The culmination of this has been the development of Dojo (dojoengine.org) which provides a framework and toolchain for creating game logic that can be permissionlessly extended and propagated perpetually. Looking forward to learning from you all
