It looks like some ppl want to bring their own sound system bc they are assuming we already have our main stage sound figured out.
I'm into this. I think we can encourage them to bring their stuff, warn them about hours bc basically they can't play it late, and then if we need to later ask them to lend their shit for our main stages.
I know Highly Produced Festivals have only a few sound stages and ban renegades. But I think our model should be closer to burning man or the regionals, where it's fine to have another sound system at your camp. In particular, a 2nd system on another side of the lake might be fun or a fun setup at one camp and then another at the next can be cool. Especially if it's chill or playing another genre and not really competing with the dancefloor

Heyo - the SoEl sound team is pretty different from other teams and that's awesome
Usually we put out a "volunteering opportunties" type form and let ppl express interest like "I wanna make food for ppl" or "I wanna drive the shuttle"
Should we include an option for Sound? I figure you can work out specific roles for ppl later, but ideally we'd get somewhat defined titles and counts of how many ppl you'd like for each, then our volunteer coordinator would match ppl with you.
Anyway, this "volunteering opportunities" thing will go out soon and we can list you however you like, so lmk!

@able-diamond-33677 - What is your current PA? Same as last year (2x Bose F1 Subs + 2x Bose Tops)?
