anyone know why this would happen when deploying AppSync for the first time?
```AppSyncApiEBDAEC17 Failed to assume service-linked role arn:aws:iam::xxx:role/aws-service-role/appsync.amazonaws.com/AWSServiceRoleForAppSync, please retry. (Service: AWSAppSync; Status Code: 403; Error
 Code: AccessDeniedException)```

shouldn’t this just have access to that role out of the box?

weird. my dev just ran the deploy again for that stack, and it worked for him this time :thinking_face:

This happened during the deploy of the stack?

yeah, the very first deploy in a fresh AWS account

same thing happened to me during the first deploy of the AppSync stack
