Just wondering, for DynamoDB, single table architecture, what do you usually use as a Sort Key?
r
You typically have generic names for partition and sort keys. I.e. PK and SK Then the application determines the usage of those keys
You should read The DynamoDB Book by Alex DeBrie. All you need on single table design
b
I've been wanting to get the book myself, but it's just so expensive. Probably worth the price tag, but just too much for me
r
I'd say it's an investment in yourself. Basic package would be sufficient. In the UK it's about the cost of 10 pints of beer. Failing that, look up content from Alex DeBrie and Rick Houlihan on YouTube
f
Will look it up!
b
100% with you on the investing in yourself Ross. The UK has a much stronger currency than South Africa though. The basic package is worth about 72 pints here 😛
r
I see, fair enough. It’s a beautiful country, South Africa, had close relatives that lived there for 30 years.
b
It's beautiful indeed. I live in a small town called Wellington which offers some amazing views and superb wine https://www.google.com/search?q=wellington+boland&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi-yJWbh6_4AhXhnFwKHYObBDgQ_AUoAXoECAIQAw&biw=1920&bih=974.
r
Ah yes, I’ve been to Paarl and Franschhoek. Wine is spectacular too
b
Yeah, fantastic wines!
f
Love that pint is the new currency
Just spoke to Alex and he said the
dynamo2021
promo code will give $20 off the Basic package.

What is money if not beer tokens?
f
