Not great numbers for ddb
m
Awesome provisioning, but the devexp is pretty bad.
d
Weird my impression is that those are good numbers
t
I think it's because I first saw this survey with postgres and Planetscale
And they were 85%+
DDB is more or less half of users saying never again
m
It's 1/3, no? I still would be dissatisfied with that result. I suppose partiql was supposed to fix that problem, but I don't think it has at all.
d
It's so different to SQL and the norm… I thought it's quite good numbers.
g
I think its pretty good, especially considering the people who probably voted against it are too absorbed in SQL thinking it is still the best with no care to learn how to properly use a NoSQL database.
I think the future will see those numbers go up though as the current senior engineers retire and the new generation is going full on to serverless
m
Most of the people I know who are really into DynamoDB are long in the tooth.
Maybe that’s because I threatened I’d turn off Matlock if they made me use a VPC.
