I’d like to use RDS + RDS Proxy which requires to have my lambdas in the same VPC

Do you need to use RDS Proxy or can you use data api? We're putting together some new guides around using RDS with lambdas and our recommendation is to avoid the vpc issue by using data api

My client (Prisma) doesn't work with the data API and I didn't read good things about it for the v1 with Postgresql. I can't wait to try the v2 when it's available for postgres.
