Try doing it with --rollback=true

I did but the stack was stuck in an

UPDATE_FAILED

state. Had to remove deploy then add it back and deploy. (basically rollback true with more steps) I've updated my project to always pass the rollback true flag on start to hopefully avoid this. I don't see much benefit to not being to do a replace especially in CDK.
