I’ve been trying to wrap my head around how to best to setup a Cognito + Frontend Auth Flow and have been spinning my wheels. I’ve run into some constraints that may prevent using Amplify and am looking at how to build things out without this. I have experience building JWT auth flows but am not sure if this is the best approach to leverage Cognito and other AWS resources together (i.e. does JWT prevent leveraging IAM to secure API endpoints + other AWS resources?) My front-end is SvelteKit, but I’m more interested in grokking the underlying concepts and methods than the exacts of coding this in Svelte. I’d love to hire someone who has a solid understanding of SST’s constructs and Cognito / AWS authentication concerns to help me walk through the thinking on this (e.g. an hour call). If you’re interested, please DM and let me know what hourly rate would work for you. Happy to pay to shortcut my learning now - and likely later as well. Thanks! 🙌

Anybody providing Consulting Services focused on serverless technologies? I think there is a market opportunity there, due serverless it’s a “niche” at the moment… maybe not in every market, but Latin America it’s an example of a growing market starting to look at those technologies.

Company description At Leadent Digital (www.leadent.digital) we design and build a variety of applications and services for customers that operate in field service industries. That includes everything from energy and water utilities to consumer appliance manufacturers and facilities management businesses. We integrate our applications with a number of top-right Gartner Magic Quadrant third party systems to provide solutions that deliver a range of functionality that range from field service end-user web applications, mobile workforce optimisation, to map-based analytics and bespoke applications. Role description In this role you’ll be working to design and build new applications to bring to market, as well as extending and maintaining our existing production applications and services. You’ll also help with the evaluation of new technologies to support our aims and roadmap. All our products are serverless; involving the following technologies • TypeScript • JavaScript • Serverless Stack (of course!) • Node.js • AWS Services (Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, API Gateway, Eventbridge, S3, RDS , Route53, Cloudfront etc) • Vue.js (Vue, Vuex, Vue-Router) • HTML/CSS/SASS (including for responsive design) • Here Maps Services • Thundra APM The ideal candidate is someone who has an excellent track record in delivering robust, extensible and simple to use applications into production environments. They will have a commitment to life-long learning and be willing and able to turn their hand to new technologies and ideas, turning ideas into proofs of concept quickly, then productionising those PoCs. We’re UK-based but will consider a remote role for the right candidate. If you have experience in some of the technologies listed above and you’d like to deliver applications for global companies like Bosch, Ariston, Calor Gas, Northumbria Water, Foxtel and Brinks Home Security please DM me!

Any other hiring managers in here? I finally got my company's HR to agree to create a developer-specific hiring process. The current one that we use across the company is awful for technical roles and I'm pretty sure has scared off some great candidates. So, what does your current process look like? Do you have the candidate perform live coding challenges? Take-home assignments? How much does the candidate meet with folks outside the technical team? Anything you would change?

Hey, CTO at Flowyour.money here 🙂 Flow is a fintech startup focused on building the self-driving money 💶 app. We’re looking for genuine & smart people to join our team. By design Flow is a remote company and our team is distributed around the planet: mostly based in the Netherlands, Brazil and Georgia.
    UTC+02:00
Right now Flow can connect to EU bank accounts (we have a PSD2 license) and create automation rules for bank accounts. It’s a bit like IFTTT for money, but with a more general money-management endgame. Having just closed a funding round (news pending) we’re actively looking for devs to write functional, data heavy components in ClojureScript. Combining these with TypeScript to hook things up into a async/await mutating thing of beauty. This approach is inspired by the

    Effect-ive Clojure▾

talk. To get seamless polyglot frontend/backend integration, we started building an open-source ClojureScript library: malli-ts 📚 Frontend is done in Expo.io react-native connecting through GraphQL with our AWS Serverless backend. We’re using serverless-stack.com to have per-developer, live-reloading Lambda development environments. It got us this far, but for next-level reliability and human/dev scalability, we’re adding temporal.io to the mix to integrate all the moving parts that are “modern” banks, services and APIs. I hope this message gives a hint of all the exciting stuff we’re doing and our unique approach software development. sst Other than just tech, the product is on the path to making a big difference. Most people just wing it month to month and do not manage their money. Many have no savings for an emergency… We’re changing this. See our open positions at https://work.flowyour.money

👋 hey all, have you ever imagined building a product with the potential to change the way software is written in the future? I'm sure you've all been mad at CloudWatch or X-Ray before; I'm working at Baselime and we're building an observability solution to take that pain away. Our industry has moved to IaC and defining our CI/CD in code, yet our monitoring, alerting and observability are all done in point and click interfaces. At Baselime, we're shifting observability left in the dev lifecycle by making is as code. We are "almost" exclusively serverless, we provision everything with sst and we're a tiny team: 2 devs. If you believe that serverless is the future of cloud computing, please dm me; I'm always happy to have a chat, and if you want to join the team after, we can continue that conversation! https://baselime.notion.site/Software-Engineer-Full-stack-c6b937dad7594059a7662dbc45e0f88f
