Isn't this the whole Vedantu-Anuradha fiasco? Don't go there https://twitter.com/vamsi_edu/status/1631583811694891009?t=anKxIk3CCnqBhASDyjIY1w&s=19

Exactly.... The dirty splashing going on from both sides. I don't want to get into this.... But then I'm curious.. considering there are so many agency owners/marketers in this group: has anyone faced a similar ASK? If yes, how do you tactfully handle the situation to convey to the employee that you'd want to stay away from kickbacks.

Generally I blame fictional Auditors who can make our lives really painful if we do any kickbacks and how I'd really want to help in this regard but can't.

True that.

If you are a small organisation or just starting up and the client is big ticket size. I would suggest you should share some portion with the employee who recommended you. It’s like an affiliate thinks in the offline world! For example, my friend has started a manufacturing unit and they want to sell to a big organization that has a high volume of demand coming up every month. So, they collaborated with the manager to send the PO every month and for that manager to get some amount on regular bases. It’s not the common practice in IT/SaaS, but in manufacturing or with any big deals in corporates there are some people that you should keep happy to run your business/deal successfully.
