Hey everyone, We're considering a paid G2 subscription (valued at $10K) with two primary goals in mind: 1. Increase Reviews: Focused on gathering reviews from our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). 2. Generate Demand: Leverage G2’s intent-based signals to drive demand. If anyone has experience with the G2 paid plan, we'd love to hear your insights! Additionally, we're looking for a playbook or best practices to help us secure more G2 reviews. Any recommendations or strategies would be greatly appreciated 😀 Thanks in advance!

One thing that works is aligning reviews goal to customer success and incentivising them rather than marketing team putting in efforts for the reviews. (The know the right time to ask for one)

Currently, we give any one of the following to signups to incentivize them for a G2- 1. Company Branded Goodies 2. Trial extension 3. $35 Starbucks voucher

Does that coupon work in Starbucks HSR? Asking for a friend.

I did G2 review automation for few companies. This worked the best for me.
k
Can you tell me more about the automation that you did?
k
Is it PLG or Sales led?
k
Sales Led but PLG assisted is what we call our GTM motion! 😅
k
For PLG motion, you gamify or use unlock credits to automate review. You can apply the same logic as Zomato, Swiggy or any other consumer app which is asking you to rate them or write a review. It can be applied to SaaS as well. Find the moment when they perform an action or complete an event and ask for review. It works only when you have good number of signups. For Sales led, if the number of users are more like for CRM, you can still do the same.
k
We do have an automation set up that asks users to give us a review once they complete milestones. The sales and CS teams reach out to folks they are engaged with to ask for a review. We do give out a lot of incentives to both kind of reviewers. On the unlock credits bit do you mean to say we should offer extra credits to trail users if they give us a G2 review?
k
something like that. I knew free users who will never convert to paid. For them, we use incentives like this to get them to review so they can earn extra credit. We ask them to share screenshots after review for them to be eligible. We got moe than 2000 reviews.
k
Wooh Thanks amazing! Would love to connect with you to know more. Do DM! 😁
s
Would you need a paid subscription to get more review? I think above mentioned tactics work even without a paid plan. I would be curious to see how folks are leveraging their intent data to drive demand.
k
Their paid plan has 2 parts- 1. Demand Gen 2. Getting more reviews (Along with Branding and Marketing) Right now the way we get reviews without a paid plan is very laborious. (Get behind GTM team members to do an outreach) I want to automate this as much as possible. ðŸĪ
