i understood some of it. especially now facebook, google and apple will have to ask for consent before tracking users even for third party apps and can ask for consent only once per year per user per app. if a user opts out, it means no ads from that third party and all-in-all, a user can shut himself from almost all retargeting via these platforms. did not get clarity on website retargeting. app developers won’t be forced to use specific payment services or identity providers to be listed in app stores. messaging interoperability - messenger services that are subject to the interoperability requirement will have to open up their APIs for competitors to provide interoperable messaging for basic features — with the requirement intentionally asymmetrical, meaning that smaller messaging services that are not in the scope of the DMA will not be required to open up to gatekeepers but can themselves connect into Big Tech. so a smaller messaging service can connect into whatsapp or facebook messenger but not vice versa.

So basically big tech needs to open their API's and app publishers need not use the PG of the app Store?
