Pardot - used it with a client; couldn't make head or tail of it until I watched 4 hours worth of tutorials.

Oh I had a similar thought. Even though SFDC gave us 6 hours of walkthrough, I really did not understand how to build and manage workflows on it
k
@Sid I thought SFDC was BAD, until I met SFDC PRM. Boy, that stuff is what nightmares are made of.
s
SFDC is actually dev first. It still shows that. If you can get under the hood, it's super customisable. Pardot - brrrr.

vtiger (don’t know why the company had it in the first place)

The first thing at did at Zuddl was to shut down Zaps.
c
What's wrong with Zapier? @Ketan Pandit @Pooja Sriram
s
Haan - Would love to know the problems you have faced?
c
My current Zapier account has over 120 Zaps running.
the only times I face issues with Zapier is when an app does not have an integration with it.
s
My only issue with Zap is pricing. They should give more integration for free 🀐

We were using webflow <> HubSpot. Data wouldn't flow. Zaps kept pausing for some reason, and there was a data leakage issue.

My answer is Marketo
s
Why Marketo?
s
Zapier is Love. 😬 Why this hatred towards it?
s
I know, right. Zapier is so awesome.
Sometimes even better than native integration 🀐

@Sid Why Marketo - It took me 1 week to learn how to segment the customers, setup a template and finally run an email campaigns. Documented it step by step nd on the final day, there would definitely be something going wrong. It was just so much stress and pain to use it. Why I used it? The company didn’t give me a choice πŸ™‚
s
@Arnav Mahajan I agree on the steep and most oft on not the bump part of Marketo. They could do a lot better with that interface + documentation. It took me 2-3 months to set it up. But once I did - Marketo was an endless possibility. The workflow segment filters, the logs and the streams - just crazy good.
a
@Sid but how many of those features are actually used? And also, it is a pain to setup an implementation call with them to understand how it works. Moreover, no docs as you said. I can setup Hubspot in a week with everything that I need. So, for a startup, I would never say that anybody should go to Marketo
s
Haan true 😞 Marketo fails spectacularly at that. Their CS team dont even push you to use those features. For a startup - yes, Hubspot or just Active Campaign would do.
a
I am actually amazed how good Active Campaign is at $15 per month price. Just that their CRM is not upto the mark,…But I think that they are serious competitors to Hub

s
Oh yes. Active Campaign is damn good.. I was surprised at their clean servers. At that price point i expected a lot of junk, but they have done a good job so far
