1. copy is everything when you're pitching against a competition. i'm still learning the ropes but it plays the biggest role (cue:
hertz vs avis campaign)
2. keep your landing page neutral but targeted, try not to oversell yourself or undersell your competition, draw a fair comparison and list out reasons why and who should pick you over the competition. this goes back to point 1 about good copy (which in turn comes from good research, can you list 3 definitive, non-bs reasons why a prospect should pick you over your competition? great then you have a head start)
3. on bid strategies, target cpa can work if you just increase its max bid limit, try doubling it each time and see where you find the sweet spot. manual cpc can also work. it is really dependent on who the artist is, the paint brush can be anything.
4. try warming up your audience with a YT/brand marketing testimonial campaign, that can potentially improve your CTRs
