got it
When we generally increase prices, we grandfather older users at the older pricing/tiers - meaning the price which they got in at is applicable to them
Are you saying the older users will now get same/similar features but will be paying 50% lower on the same plan, as most of them will not go for the “fancy” add-ons after unbundling? If yes, then I DO NOT recommend grandfathering your old users.
This is a precarious situation though where you are saying for the same value we’ll charge lesser from the newer customers (assuming older users don’t opt for add-ons, which seems likely from your statement above)
My best approach would be a time-boxed discount to the older customers - say 6 months (for being loyal customers) - post which you’ll move them to the new pricing
