Did not get you. Do you mean to delete PR articles from your website for SEO optimization?
v
No, like if there’s bad press online, how can your brand overcome it using SEO. Is that even possible given the DA of websites like The Vice, Guardian, Mashable, etc.
s
To remove any content on another website, you need to contact the webmaster of that website.
v
Hmmm…I meant more like overcome bad press for your brand. So when someone types my brand name, and news website is coming up, is there a way to bring it down?
s
Well, you can always start an aggressive Good PR campaign. Like founder interviews in famous online publications, youtube channels. Promote your achievement on social media, and online media houses, you also ask other social media influencers to post about you. Just change the topic of discussion, change the narrative. P.S- Think like a politician 😅

@Vartika Gupta I understood your question. A thought to consider – people will always find publishers and media outlets to be more credible than your company blog. A website's job is to paint a pretty picture about the company and people are well aware of that. So in case of very specific search queries (like a recent event/issue) people are more likely to not only look for press coverage but find it more trustworthy than your website. Example: for keyword 'ABC Inc. layoffs', people are more likely to visit an Inc42 article even if ABC's official statement on the matter ranks first. That said, it is very possible to rank well for some of the other brand keywords. Take 'ABC inc' or 'ABC careers', you'll close to always rank ahead of news articles. I agree with @Sourajit Mukherjee as well. If you think that your brand keywords are resulting in a bunch of news articles, a focussed PR campaign/leadership branding campaign can help ensure that the favourable articles take the top spots.
