Hi guys, anyone using LinkedIn scheduler tools like social pilot or highperformr? I want to know if you've seen a decrease in reach because of using a third party scheduling tool for linkedin.
d
I am the founder of RecurPost, a social media scheduler. This is a myth that third party tools reduce reach. We have proven it for a lot of people multiple times.
g
great, can you share some data @Dinesh Agarwal ? Have been debating about this with my team...
a
@Gargi Nangalia a while i actually automated the whole postings on LinkedIn and the reach fell dramatically like -50% It was done on LinkedIn only
d
For this, we always asked the client to use RecurPost for half of their posts and the rest half to do manually. They’d run those experiments for two weeks and then compare data. Invariably, there was either no difference or they found RecurPost to do better when they let us pick the best time for their posts. Happy to help you set it up on RecurPost for your trial. We wouldn’t mind posting a public report of this on our site.
g
@Dinesh Agarwal From what I understand, RecurPost schedules posts at different times each day and this variation in timing makes the posts appear as if they were manually posted, which helps improve their performance in the algorithm. Is that correct?
d
We actually look at your posting history and suggest the times when you should post based on what times work the best. There is more to it, but that is the gist of it.
g
I also heard that if we have done some activity (liked or commented) on LinkedIn before and after our post goes out, there is a higher chance of it doing well. Any information about this?
d
I haven’t heard that before. However, I know that sales navigator lets you target people who are active on linkedin so they are keeping track of your activity for sure for algorithm purposes.
