I am trying to explore reddit ads for my conversion campaigns for one of my clients who's into financial CRM software. Has anyone used Reddit ads as their primary lead generation medium? How was the experience? Has it worked? Can someone guide me?

Just keep it relavant to reddit. Tried long back. Ok ok results. Twitter is better.

redditors dont take it kindly to ads. i tried several things but wasnt able to make it work. people ignore ads left, right. i'm curious to understand why you decided to pick reddit for promoting financial crm? i will say try to find relevant subreddits and try to work with their admins for "sponsored posts"

Thank you @Mohammed Farhan ! Will try Twitter too.
@Aniruddh Jain, Google ads doesn't seem to work for the client. Somehow LinkedIn is working but not as expected. Thought of exploring some other platforms. What do you suggest?

Reddit is good for top-of-the-funnel ads because it's a platform that people intentionally scroll through (mostly) rather than just consuming content (like in the case of Instagram). Also, the Reddit team suggests running text and image ads over any other format (which is true in our case). Would be happy to share notes on what worked and didn't work for us.

@Nrusingha the main thing to understand here is where does your audience hang out? do they hangout on reddit? my guess is they would likely hangout on google and linkedin and much less on reddit. so we need to find a way to make google work. changing platforms may not work. you can also try programmatic abm

Tried it, listing down the learnings here: • Try targeting relevant subreddits, that give the lowest CPA • Keep the content informational in nature as people like to read and engage. Direct sales ad don’t work • Frequency: Conversion ratio is higher (3X for us) as compared to Meta and Ln • Cost per relevant lead was better than Ln but the audience size being small scalability was an issue PS: The product was an AI SEO writer for US geography.

Thanks, everyone! Listing my learnings here. 1. There's no thumbrule unless I try the platform and see if it works. 2. Success depends whether I find the relevant subreddit. 3. Informational content with image and text ads works well on Reddit. 4. I should also consider Twitter ads 5. Reddit is not scalable due low user volume 6. I still need to find a way for Google ads to work.

I tried, failed and my tech team user who was a avid reddit user succeeded in generating a few leads. Some platforms are anti-marketers. https://s11s.slack.com/archives/C02ULADU6TW/p1710762564517509?thread_ts=1710761318.481109&cid=C02ULADU6TW
