Honest feedback on Framer? Is it good for SEO? And how much support do you need from developers?

I was working as an independent contractor with a US based company. My final working day was 30 sep. The founders hace withheld part of my payment as they need the company laptop back. I have asked them to arrange for shipping multiple times even even tried to initiate it from my side (paid by them) but could not as there were certain shipping challenges with partners like DHL and Shiprocket. The founders keep saying they can’t do this and now it’s stuck in limbo. What can I do here ? Has anyone faced something similar? The company is registered in US and I’m based in India.

what do the founders mean when they say they "can't do this"?

shipping a laptop internationally is not easy. It costs almost half of the cost of the laptop and then you have customs to go through. If the value of the laptop is similar to what they have withheld just move on. If they have withheld a lot of monty ask them to pay you after deducting what the laptop is worth.

So then DON'T give laptops to contractors or hire contractors who already have one! Also to OP - it was stupid on your part to not to account for this technicality. Simple rule - if I have given a resource an asset it is MY responsibility to get it back logistically speaking.

these guys are not very structured, they don’t have systems in place and have a pass the buck attitude. The founder literally had the nerve to tell me to send it with someone I know if they are travelling abroad. This is the first time I worked in this kind of setup so it’s a honest miss. I offered to take the laptop at a fair depreciated value based on months of usage which a lot of companies offer but these people want the whole amount which is absolutely unacceptable. They are also least bothered to initiate this as they delayed it from their end as they were travelling and also had to learn this process. Question - Is it worth throwing the legal jargon at them ? And if they call it, is there anything that can be done ? I know this may seem trivial but it doesn’t give people the right to screw contractors. These guys are a non-funded startup so they probably won’t have as much leverage to push around when threatened, unless I’m mistaken.

I personally feel they know it is a hassle to get the laptop back and are diplomatically playing this game so I end up taking it. This founder is a shady cheapskate that once emailed a tool provider for a refund on 3 month contract since he did not want to continue with it. The contract price was given on a discount based on this commitment and worst of all there were only 15 days left and he wanted his change back. If I have to ship it back from my side with the costs paid by them, how can I do it ? They are currently in Dubai. Even if the cost is high it would be great to know so I can give them an estimate.

hi everyone, I have been tasked with creating an ICP document for a product I am supposed to lead and I want to create the most number-centric document out there, that I and the leadership can refer to later. Any tips or examples that you can share?

I worked on an assignment given to my by a company - comprehensive launch strategy they asked for. I sent in a deck (took me two weeks). Didn't get a response for 15 days. After following up, I got a generic rejection email. These guys just use your work for free.

I have seen significant reduction in Product Marketing roles for 1-4 years experience bracket. Lot of opportunities in 5-10 YoE bracket. Why is it so? Any insights.

Is this a reasonable ask? Generate 100 leads as a new marketer, within 1 month of joining the company.

100 leads in a month of joining? Please buy a magic wand from Mr. ollivander in Diagon alley. Whish your wand snd say ‘Wingardium Leviosa’ and hope the lead numbers go up magically. Jokes aside, this is a very immature ask without understanding the demand from the market. But, its not doable. The idea here is to quickly kickstart email + Linkedin outreaches and scale rapidly. Kickstart paid media ads to get the traffic flowing in optimize your ads as you go along. All these activities easily take atleast 45-60 days to start delivering provided you don’t run into any snags. But recahing 100, I am not so sure…
