hi everyone, I have been tasked with creating an ICP document for a product I am supposed to lead and I want to create the most number-centric document out there, that I and the leadership can refer to later. Any tips or examples that you can share?

I worked on an assignment given to my by a company - comprehensive launch strategy they asked for. I sent in a deck (took me two weeks). Didn't get a response for 15 days. After following up, I got a generic rejection email. These guys just use your work for free.

I have seen significant reduction in Product Marketing roles for 1-4 years experience bracket. Lot of opportunities in 5-10 YoE bracket. Why is it so? Any insights.

Is this a reasonable ask? Generate 100 leads as a new marketer, within 1 month of joining the company.

100 leads in a month of joining? Please buy a magic wand from Mr. ollivander in Diagon alley. Whish your wand snd say ‘Wingardium Leviosa’ and hope the lead numbers go up magically. Jokes aside, this is a very immature ask without understanding the demand from the market. But, its not doable. The idea here is to quickly kickstart email + Linkedin outreaches and scale rapidly. Kickstart paid media ads to get the traffic flowing in optimize your ads as you go along. All these activities easily take atleast 45-60 days to start delivering provided you don’t run into any snags. But recahing 100, I am not so sure…

So glad that I am not a part of startups anymore. Especially Indian startups.

I get you. I would also move out of startups and especially Indian startups as soon as I get a chance. Just bloody not worth it.

Hiring managers, please respond: Is it a big effort to raise budgets for a role or candidate? I want to understand how flexible things are in companies - startups or enterprise. If you are starting to hire for a brand new position (and have been way off target) can you quickly revise budgets? Or does it take a lot of approvals?
