Hey - Iโ€™m Joe and I lead Product Marketing for PostHog. ๐Ÿ‘‹ Iโ€™m interested in connecting with someone at Rudderstack to discuss some improvements to Rudderstackโ€™s docs on PostHog as theyโ€™re a bit out of date. Could someone contact me or point at the right channel? Thanks.

hey RudderStack team! I heard while back that the device mode transformation beta will be launching in mid-December, is there a timeframe for when this will go live? this could be super helpful for some of our destinations so excited to try it out!

Hi RudderStack fam. Are events with Mailchimp on the roadmap? Would be nice to segment audiences via events vs. relying on identify calls only. Thanks!

Hello RudderStack team! Are you considering adding a filter to Shopify app which would let users to send only some events and not all of them if unnecessary? Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi RudderStack team, beginner question here, is it possible to add more then one instance of the same source under a single RS account? let's say that I have two salesforce accounts that I want to sync to the same warehouse destination... is that possible? and if so, does the data in the destination all land in the same schema/tables or is it partitioned by source

I have a question. In the past we have problems because we had a lot of events who wasnโ€™t relevant for us but were consuming our quota. Fortunately we found a way to disable them from our mobile app.. Is there any story in the roadmap to filter or discard events from the backend?

Feedback: Would be nice to extend the filtering capabilities to also be able to define which destination ID to push data to, this would be useful when dealing with multiple destinations sharing the same name. Imagine 2, 3 destinations on Mailchimp using the same source, instead of depending on a transformation it could be solved at the SDK level.

Hi guys! We need to be able to prefix the folder names to which rudderstack is writing json files on S3. currently it's like
    rudder-stack/rudder-logs/2N0bdUnPqgw8ptT3hFasQKijqam/2023-06-07
While we need it to be
    rudder-stack/rudder-logs/2N0bdUnPqgw8ptT3hFasQKijqam/date=2023-06-07
This way we can announce all the S3 folders as a Hive partitioned table. We created a PR for that https://github.com/rudderlabs/rudder-server/pull/3461 Would be glad if you can quick review and merge it.

Limiting transformations to 5 on the paid starter plan is super confusing. It's the same # as the free plan. You can only have a single transformation per destination, so to use say 10 or even 15 transformations, you'd need 10 or 15 destinations. So there isn't really a way to abuse transformations since it scales at most 1:1 with destinations. The "starter" Paid plan should at minimum have much higher max # of transformations, if not unlimited like the growth plan. Transformations alone isn't a great reason to 2x (or more) of the cost to go from Starter->Growth plan. There are other more important reasons to upgrade to Growth plan (like reverse ETL)

The list of configured destinations should group same destinations together and do it alphabetically. I believe it's currently sorting them by order added. while this is a small example, it's annoying to have my 2 klaviyo destinations not grouped together.

There should be a built in option in Rudderstack for destinations to automatically flatten nested traits and arrays. Many destinations do not support nested properties, so it forces us to create a transformation (which I did) but that is just added complexity and consumes a transformation slot. It makes more sense to me this would be built in by rudderstack since it's destination based. E.g. Klaviyo: โ€ข Supports nested properties: No โ€ข Supports arrays: Yes Intercom: โ€ข Supports nested properties: No โ€ข Supports arrays: No The transformation I had to write for this was pretty crazy, to account for skipping
    traits.properties
for example as that should never be flatted, etc. It was much more complex than I had expected.

There needs to be a better way to debug events and transformations. Problems right now: 1. The live event viewer is only running for 5 mins. It sounds like a long time but in practice it's way too short of a window. While in development, you're constantly making tweaks and you can get sucked into a coding blackhole and when you finally make a change, the 5min window has expired 2. Typically when you are debugging you want to view both the ingested event from the source as well as the transformations and destinations. This requires you to open up 3 tabs right now for live view: source, transformation and destination. There should be a much easier way to have a single view that gives you the entire pipeline with the data flowing along the way at each point.

Hi @thankful-gpu-70135: Nice to meet you and thanks a ton for the feedback. I am the PM for transformations and tracking plan and would love to pick ur brain on some of the feedback that you have provided. I can also update you on some of the things we are working on in the backend that will address some of the feedback Let me know if you have 30-60 mins next week and i can send u an invite

Are there good use cases of LLMs over event data? Specifically, for calling an LLM API from our tranformations to fix/enhance the event?

Hello Team, This is Lucas. We are using Rudderstack to Kafka for real-time data streaming. Our operation involves telemetry and real-time temperature and humidity control. We are considering subscribing to your official plan, but we have doubts about its suitability for us. Currently, our data transmission time is around 10 minutes, but we need it in real time. Can you help us?

Hi! It would be great if the Rudder SDK V3 could expose a "BufferAnalytics" object that can be used to buffer track/page/identify calls before the RudderAnalytics object is initialized. Based on these docs, any calls made before initialization are simply lost: https://www.rudderstack.com/docs/user-guides/how-to-guides/rudderstack-jamstack-integration/v3/nextjs/

Hi everyone, We are using Rudderstack Android SDK and we noticed a serious bug affecting app performance -> https://github.com/rudderlabs/rudder-sdk-android/issues/395 This is due to serialisation happening on the main thread which leads to ANR issues in the app. Who should I talk to about this bug as it is a serious one and it impacts a lot of customers?
