We have the latency very high over 3000ms the median latency and we are using multi state agents and the gpt 5.1 fast tier as well still the latency is very high which makes the agent to have long pauses before speaking and in that pause user says another word where it creates a weird call AI trying to speak then user interrupts and this goes on for 2-3 times and then user gets frustrated and we have all the settings off to which makes the latency higher too

We have used 4.1 too but the latency is high

I reverted everything back to version 4.1, and I’m seeing better results. It needed some prompting because it wasn’t picking up my instructions when I had logic in there. However, it seems like I have a working version now. Thanks for your help with this; GPT 5.1 isn’t good with latency at the moment.

Hey everyone — has anyone experienced random call drops mid-conversation with their outbound voice agent? Calls are connecting fine and the conversation starts normally, but the call drops randomly during the middle of the conversation without any clear reason. Not sure if this is a platform issue, a config issue, or something else entirely. Would appreciate any insight from anyone who's seen this before. Thanks!
