Funny how direct tax collection figures doesn't really reflect this.

16 Million Indians (~1% of population) can receive the net 100billion USD as income and still NOT have to pay single paisa as income tax (<5 lac INR income). With proper tax-exempt investments, the net 100Billion USD can be received by even fewer individuals and still not have to pay any income tax whatsoever
