Anybody here who put their car on Zoomcar? Can you share a review?
g
By puttin on Zoomcar, if you mean putting it up for rentals, having seen how people treat zoomcars, I'd strongly suggest against it if you love your car 😬
c
How about purely from an investment perspective? What sort of returns can one expect? Keeping some hope in their customer support + insurance to cover critical damages if any, considering depreciation of asset, etc.
t
Yes exactly from that standpoint @careful-pencil-2826 is talking about
b
@careful-pencil-2826 if your idea is to invest your money, I am more than happy to share my knowledge on the same. I believe I can definitely help you with something better than putting your car on zoomcar/revv etc. If you have a business, then you can claim depreciation on your car and I believe if we can run some calc then it might be profitable but quite honestly saying your maintenance cost will be higher than other folks.
t
@billions-father-5156 The reason to buy a car is to just have it around and available for personal use only weekly or biweekly. What if you buy a second-hand car and put that on Zoomcar? What do you think would profitability look like in that case?

Assuming we can get a good condition wagonR & you are in Delhi NCR, max you can get is 48K. Assuming average to be 25K ( ie only 16 days your car is up for availability ), you can make 3L in a year which can essentially be equal to the cost of car, since wagonR's value doesn't depreciate that much, you can expect a good value when you sell it.
@tall-family-96428 you can do something like pumpumpum.com like you tell them you have cars & are willing to list them on your platform, expecting X amount as rental.
Also, one thing to know is you can get them on loan as well, interest rates cost a bit high though šŸ™‚

i have no first-hand experience with zoomcar. Few questions though...
Assuming average to be 25K ( ie only 16 days your car is up for availability ),
• Do people hire WagonR so much that it won't sit idle in zoomcar inventory (without earning) ? • What about days the car spends in garage for repairs/maintenance after each 3rd-party ride?
you can make 3L in a year which can essentially be equal to the cost of car,
minus the expenses on repairs/maintenance, right?
since wagonR's value doesn't depreciate that much, you can expect a good value when you sell it.
The kms driven, lent out on zoom, and relatively poorer condition of the car would affect the quote/estimate, no?

I believe some of these could be answered by the zoomcar folks, as the data is with them. Good points covered by @chilly-rocket-77832 šŸ˜Ž

Nice @glamorous-mouse-696, I recently went for a test drive using PumPumPum.com, service was nice & car conditions if thoroughly checked then you can get a good one. I am waiting for another car right now but seems like a good choice, if damage value is greater than 5K, they claim insurance, person just has to pay file charges ( 2K approx )
