Not a pro but someone with a dslr š
. Sharing my inputs.
⢠If you want to first master the art of photography, buying a second hand with a kit lense is also fine. Note: Having an expensive equipment is fine but photography is also about your perspective and post processing.
⢠I don't know any website but keep an eye on photographers/videographers on insta they generally sell their equipments while upgrading to newer ones.
⢠Thinking about multipurpose is fine but then you will have to also think of multiple lenses. A single lense would not serve all the purpose. Keep that in mind when estimating cost. I would suggest to prioritise your interest first. Also, first make sure that you really want a camera. Speaking from my experience, I was/am hobbyist photographer but now I only use camera when I think that I will really care for post process e.g wildlife photography. I have started using iphone 12 mini (not even iphone pro) for my travel photography cz I find it more convenient and hassle free. I only miss my camera when I feel that I really needed the minute details of a specific landscape which is like 10/20% of the time. Again it depends on personal interest and the time you can invest in post processing. If you are passionate about photography, camera makes sense. Also, note that most latest flagship phones support shooting in raw so you can still post process your photo taken using phone.
Don't take this as a discouragement but just sharing my personal experience š I bought canon 700D in 2015 and though that I would upgrade it to shinny new one š but never did š I still use it occasionally with the kit lens.
On that note, enjoy this pic taken from camera š
