10/30/2022, 5:32 AMHas anyone gotten a free repair for the butterfly keyboard in their Macbook? I contacted my local Reliance Apple Repair, but they can't tell me if it'll be free unless I bring in my machine, so I just wanted to check before making the trip.

10/31/2022, 9:35 AMI did. IIRC they repair it for free for up to 4 years since purchase.
They changed the entire bottom-case including speakers and battery just to replace the butterfly keyboard, which worked out for me because one of my speakers went bust and the battery had worn out too. Didn't have to pay anything.

10/31/2022, 4:29 PMI had my Macbook’s bottom case and components replaced including the keyboard due to battery swelling couple years ago (2017 Macbook Pro 13’’). The service centre charged Rs. 19k but refunded later.
